$1.1 Million Upgrade to Albany Creek Intersection

Mon 5 Feb 2018

Tim Mander, State Member for Everton, is pleased to announce that safety improvement works will soon commence at the intersection of Old Northern Road and Explorer Drive, Albany Creek.

"These works are being undertaken to improve road safety for all road users by decreasing the risk of collision at the intersection," he said.

In 2015 I campaigned strongly for an investigation into safety concerns at this intersection. The Department of Main Roads and Road Safety confirmed that lights were necessary to make this intersection safe.

"The upgrade will focus on a design to address the growing trend of crashes at the intersection and is due for completion this year," he said.

We Did It! Walk for Youngcare Albany Creek!

Fri 20 Oct 2017

Today was one of the most fulfilling in my time as MP for Everton. On behalf of the Albany Creek community, I handed over the keys to a People Mover to Youngcare Australia and MS Queensland.

The community raised over $28k for this project. The residents were overjoyed - independence at last!

Murphy's Paddock Petition

I am very mindful that development needs to be appropriate and sustainable, and that our suburbs remain liveable.

I am gravely concerned about the proposed residential development of Murphy's Paddock, in particular about the density, greenspace and infrastructure around this project.

If this is a concern for you too, please sign this petition
